The Internet Hit the Road with RVs!

In these new times, information is an important key in every aspect of life. For this reason, with the growth and development of communications, the Internet has become a fundamental instrument for every citizen. The RV?s industry knows this and is now innovating RVs by equipping them with Web TV and some RV rooms are converted into offices fully equipped with a computer and Internet. In fact, according to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), 25 percent of owners now access the Net from their RVs.

The Internet is a very practical tool for RVers who are now able to obtain maps, travel information and weather reports while on the road. It also allows RVers to stay in touch with family, friends and business associates via email. In addition, most of the nation?s campgrounds have telephone connections included in the RV hook-up service and others even offer the Wireless Internet using what is known as WiFi technology. This technology is essentially a two-way radio with a range of about 300 ft. and software to send and receive standard internet data, generally at broadband speed.

Places where Internet access is provided by WiFi are often called hotspots. In the next few years, these hotspots are expected to be practically everywhere such as restaurants, coffee shops, stores, hotels, airports and even truck stops. They have become commonplace in places where people usually get together! Therefore, if you are an RV adventurer that traveled to remote places such as mountains or deserts, you will love to have all the possibilities the new technologies can give you.
