Kansas is a Midwestern state in the United States; its name is derived from the Siouan word Kansa meaning “People of the south wind”. This state has the heart and soul of America, you will find here heritage and history, unique attractions, mesmerizing museums, natural beauty and much more waiting to be discovered by you and your RV.

If you’re an aviation lover, you can go to get an up close look at the world’s fastest airplane, the SR-71 Black Bird and also take a tour of the childhood home of the first lady of flight, Amelia Earhart, in Atchison. In addition, you will have the opportunity to see the famous Apollo 13 lunar command module at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchison. This center is an affiliate of the Smithsonian and has the largest collection of space artifacts except for the Smithsonian’s Washington D.C. museum.

The capital of the state, Topeka, offers you the interesting Kansas Museum of History which preserves much of the state’s history and showcases. While in Wichita, which is the largest city in the state, you will have the opportunity to see rare fossils at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History in Hays, including the famed “fish within a fish” and the Fick Fossil History Museum in Oakley.

Other more wild attractions are the Heartland Park in Topeka, the new Kansas Speedway in Kansas City or the Dodge City Raceway Park if you like racing excitement.
