Maine is the northernmost state in the New England region and the easternmost state in the country, bordered on the west by New Hampshire. Also, it is the largest state in New England. Its largest lake is Moosehead Lake and its highest mountain is Mt. Katahdin, which is the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.

This state has much to offer, if you are looking for a great RV vacation, Maine is perfect for you. Relax on sandy beaches or enjoy the best sea food you can taste, especially the lobster, fresh from the ocean. Take a look at the amazing wildlife including whales, puffins and the mighty moose.

Called the Pine Tree State because 90% of its land is forest, Maine offers many activities such as outdoors activities, exceptional performances of its theatre companies and symphony orchestras, museums and national monuments, agricultural attractions, among others. Its small towns and villages are also an attraction due to its architectural beauty.

With 6,000 lakes, 32,000 miles of rivers, 5,000 miles of coast and 17 million acres of forestland, Maine is a place where you will have the opportunity to choose from multiple options. Visit its surviving forts (it has more than any other state) and its museums. Its main museum is the Maine State Museum where it highlights the history of the state and its people.
