State Parks and Campgrounds---State Tourist Travel Information

“I Love New York” is the most famous slogan around the world and it’s well deserved. The state of New York is located in the northeastern part of the United States. Its capital is Albany and the largest city is the distinguished and beautiful New York City.

From Carnegie Hall in New York City to music under the stars at Saratoga to a dinner theater in the Thousand Islands, New York State offers to you the best performing arts. “New York, New York” sung Frank Sinatra in the finest scenarios of New York City, in a song that is like an anthem to the New Yorkers. Cultural activities, special events and concerts abound in New York.

Their multicultural and cosmopolitan atmosphere enriches the state of New York making you feel like if you were in the capital of the world. It’s for this reason that even important worldwide institutions such as the United Nation have chosen NY as its headquartering.

It’s a “must do” to visit the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Center, the Metropolitan Museum and the Central Park. Either does not forget to walk by famous Fifth Avenue. While best known for New York City's urban ambiance, especially Manhattan's skyscrapers, by contrast the rest of the state is dominated by farms, forests, rivers, mountains, and lakes that you can take pleasure in too.

Another attraction is to go to the Niagara Falls, on the Niagara River, which is shared with Canada. Not so many people know that Niagara Falls is also in New York because it is more known as a Canadian attraction. Nevertheless, the best view is from the Canadian side.
