Phoenix RV Parks

State Parks and Campgrounds---State Tourist Travel Information

Phoenix, Arizona is truly a desert oasis. Those who have never experienced the desert might not realize how alive it truly is. It is easy to be impressed by the natural beauty of cacti, roadrunners, and tortoises, but if this isn’t bright enough for you there is always the fabulous Desert Botanical Gardens in Papago Park. This park is a great place for hiking and biking, offering a sweeping view of red rock vistas and desert life.

For a relaxing time, treat yourself to the Phantom Horse Spa, featuring warm rocks, scented oils, and tingling wraps. Or for a more cultural therapy, indulge your ears to the Phoenix Symphony, where a world class performance of Tchaikovsky or Mendel will melt away the stress of the road.

If you need a break from cooking, try Sam’s Café for a unique taste of poblano chicken chowder or some other spicy Southwestern dish. After taking a cooling swim, be sure to check out the history of the area at the Pueblo Grande Museum where the abandoned ruins of the Hohokam city have been preserved. Abandoned over 500 years ago, modern Phoenix literally rose from the same foundations as this lost ancient civilization.
