Shasta RV Parks

If you love the outdoors or simply want to take in some breathtaking views, Shasta is the place to do it. Northern California is practically a different state from the palm trees, sprawling cities, and deserts of Southern California. Northern California is lush and green, and Shasta is its greatest natural treasure. With a diverse landscape ranging from 1,000 to 14,162 feet, the 2.1 million acre Shasta-Trinity National Forest encompasses hundreds of mountain lakes, and 6,278 miles of streams. It is the largest national forest in California and offers a haven for all kinds of activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, camping, mountain climbing, skiing, and scenic driving.

Shasta-Trinity National Forest encompasses five distinct wilderness areas. According to the Wilderness Act of 1964, wilderness areas are areas "where earth and its community of life remains untrammeled, where man himself is a visitor who does not remain." Depending on the season you can choose between water skiing on Lake Shasta or snow skiing on Mount Shasta. RV parks near the lake are secluded from any highway noise and offer a peaceful base from which to explore all the region has to offer.
