Tennessee is a Southern state of the United States. The current capital is Nashville that is considered the World center of the country music industry. In the past, Knoxville, Kingston and Murfreesboro have all served as state capitals. Memphis has the largest population of any city in the state, but Nashville has a larger metropolitan area.

The state is by tradition divided by its people into three culturally distinct grand divisions which are East, Middle and West Tennessee. The Tennessee River is usually considered the dividing line between Middle and West Tennessee and the Cumberland Plateau is the dividing line between East and Middle Tennessee.

In the West, Memphis is considered the blues music center and also one of the centers of 60s and 70s soul music. Also, is the home of the king Elvis Presley. Music flows by the veins of this state as well as the fights of the American black people by its rights. This state is also known as the place where Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assissinated on April 1968. You can visit the National Civil Rights Museum where they have the chronicles of the Civil Rights Movement from slavery to present-day human rights movements.

Tennessee has a varied schedule for you; in Middle Tennessee if you are a Football fan you will enjoy to see Tennessee Titans football games. A cultural activity you can do is to take a walk to the center of Tennessee’s heritage in Nashville. You also must make a toast of two of most famous whiskey distilleries, Jack Daniel and George Dickel.
