Wyoming is a state of the western United States. While a small part of the eastern section of the state is inside the Great Plains, the majority is dominated by several distinct mountain ranges. The state is considered an arid state with much land getting less than 10 inches of rainfall a year. Consequently, the land supports few opportunities for farming. The capital of the state and largest city is Cheyenne.
